"Come what may, and love it!......Yet in spite of discouragement and adversity, those who are happiest seem to have a way of learning from difficult times, becoming stronger, wiser, and happier as a result." ~ Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin

By small and simple means...

great things are brought to pass. Asher will be 8 months old soon. As I have mentioned earlier he is having a little trouble gaining weight. At his appointment last week he weighed 13 pounds 14 ounces. We just go week to week trying new things. Then he was sick and throwing up a lot with coughing and his sensitive gag reflex. I love that little boy so much and it hurt me thinking that he might be losing weight while he was sick. I do worry too much sometimes. I know this. My faith has grown a ton in the last little while but sometimes it's not sufficient for the trial. I guess that's when the growth occurs. The doctor gave me some stuff to put in Asher's bottles to increase the calories. Fortunately, he was already on this when he got sick and actually gained a few ounces. Another prayer answered. I cannot doubt that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me, who knows me, and who knows my needs and wants. I'm also grateful for my husband whose faith I need to lean on sometimes. Baby Asher is seriously a happy baby. He is almost always smiling and is really developing a little personality. Also, his arm is improving. It is getting stronger and developing more muscle tone. The orthopedic doctor seems to think he has a great chance of getting all the motion in it.

I love this full mouth of gums smile. What a cute kid. And he looks like a really happy baby. I also had so many problems as a baby and I was tiny. I didn't even get back to my birth weight until I was 4 months old (which was 6 lbs 3 oz) because I had reflux. But the Lord truly blesses us and it is wonderful that you see that in all the worrying. God Bless.

I promise, when I say Asher has my heart, I mean it. I can't get enough of your updates about him!! I wish we lived near y'all just so I could meet him. I'm glad he's doing so well, mostly for your sake. He seems like he's taking it all in stride... it's the mama's that need the reassurance from Heavenly Father!!
